Employee and Community Wellbeing
Springboard
|
|
Springboard is Foundation’s flagship global program and has been operating since 1998. During this time Springboard has undergone a number of changes to keep pace with business needs and opportunities. The most recent program partners with an external community organisation, and centres around a theme of community sustainability.
Springboard brings employees from different cultures and businesses together for an intensive four-day personal development experience. Springboard is structured to help employees:
 | |
 | Deal with and understand personal change |
 | Explore their hidden potential |
 | Develop greater self-awareness, personal leadership skills and confidence |
 | Recognise and manage the impact of their actions – socially, environmentally and economically |
 | Live a more sustainable life |
Around 300 employees participate in Springboard each year. In addition to developing employees, the program is designed to generate a positive legacy for our community partner.
Our current program, ‘Springboard Far North Queensland’ (FNQ) gives employees the opportunity to work with the Mossman Community Centre, an inspiring community organisation in FNQ. The Centre supports the vast Mossman region which has a significant indigenous population, with many of its residents facing challenges in regard to finances, employment, social inclusion and education.
This Centre is run by employees and volunteers who work tirelessly to deliver programs focused on ‘caring for our community by improving opportunities and quality of life for all’. Springboard delegates work on special projects, collaborating with the Community Centre team to ensure our contributions support the achievement of the Centre’s goals now and into the future. |
