Lend Lease ICT wins award for National Diversity at Work
The Lend Lease Group’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Sydney division has won the Diversity@work National award in the category of ‘People with a disability in a large organisation’.
Since 2004 Lend Lease ICT has been working with CRS (Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service), the Australian Government provider of vocational rehabilitation services assisting people with a disability, injury or health condition to get and keep a job, providing a workplace training program for people with a disability.
Since the program’s inception, Lend Lease ICT has provided training and employment for 15 people and additional employment opportunities have been provided throughout the Group. “We are very proud to have received the award as it recognises Lend Lease’s commitment to the employment of people with a disability in the workplace,” said Tony Brennan, Global Chief Information Officer at Lend Lease.
“As our experience has grown, we have endeavoured to adapt our program to cater for each individual by appointing mentors and providing additional support to each employee. In addition to the program run in Lend Lease ICT Sydney, additional employment opportunities have been provided throughout the Lend Lease Group of companies,” he said.
Diversity@work is Australia's leading provider of consultancy services, resources and training for organisations engaged in strategic diversity management, workforce planning and cultural transformation.
